The role
Having been the leading provider of Data Management solutions for the PreClinical stage of drug development for over 20 years Instem clients have amassed a wealth of data using their current & legacy Instem solutions and similar in-house and commercial solutions. Instem has undertaken a number of BI/DW projects to facilitate legacy data retention, cross application query and flexible data mining using Business Objects, Oracle, Cognos and DataStage technologies. We are now looking to introduce the next generation of productized BI/DW solutions and are looking for an Experienced BI/DW Consultant to take a lead role in this initiative. Comfortable working hands on with the technology as well as at Business / Requirements Analysis and Design phases, the ideal candidate will have been heavily involved in multiple BI/DW projects.
Duties / Responsibilities
- Assessing our clients’ business challenges and matching these too compelling solutions that will have clear and timely return on investment
- Identifying solution architectures and selecting suitable technologies
- Designing and prototyping solutions
- Working with our Sales team to develop compelling Sales Proposals
- Leading or managing multi-disciplinary teams of internal and external resources to deliver successful projects
- Working with our product strategy and development team to build on the existing product infrastructure
Skills / Experience
Required
- Familiarity with leading BI/DW technologies - strong ETL tool experience is essential
- Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
- Excellent teamwork skills
- Hold a relevant degree
Desirable
- Oracle and Business Objects will be a distinct advantage
- Experience in the Life Sciences R&D market
- Experience integrating SOA technologies into BI/DW solutions
- Product Management experience
Candidates should be prepared to undertake US and international travel with up to 30-40% of the time spent out of the office.
