Technical Support Analyst
The Role
The opening is located in Conshohocken, Pennsylvania. The successful candidate will be required to travel to Instem offices as necessary and report to the Instem North American Helpdesk Manager. This position does offer the opportunity to travel and contribute to the services side of the business, including training/validation and installations. Instem has two other offices in the UK.
Main Responsibilities:
- Responding to and logging of support calls
- Provision of advice and assistance relating to products and services
- Provision of first line support on Oracle and escalation as required to Oracle support services
- Raising / handling of faults as appropriate
- Reproduction of reported problems and documentation of same
- Reporting to customer on progress and resolution
- Provision of support / advice at customer sites
- Conduct of activities in accordance with the relevant Quality procedures
- Correction of problems relating to database definitions or relationships
- Liaison and consultation with other departments as both a recipient and provider of information
Skills / Experience
- Familiarity of SQL and Oracle Database
- Understanding of networking basics
- Team player - ability to share & discuss problems with peers
- Willing to undertake national and international travel to customer sites if requested
- Good communication, organizational and problem solving skills
- Ability to prioritize under pressure
- A highly flexible team player
- Excellent oral and written skills
- Ability to be effective with little to no supervision and working remotely.
Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in Computing or Life Sciences
