The role
Based in Instem’s UK offices in Stone, Staffordshire (ideally) or Liverpool you will join the Validation Services Team reporting to the Validation Services Manager. You will have responsibilities that include the development, delivery and execution of automated and manual validation tests on projects of varying size, and complexity. You must have outstanding organizational skills with extreme attention to detail when working under pressure. You must have a strong work ethic and a dedication to meeting difficult objectives. You must have the ability to sustain an intense pace for extended periods of time and capability of putting in the long hours if necessary to meet customer objectives. A willingness to travel on a regular basis domestically and internationally is essential.

Duties / Responsibilities

  • Provision of practical validation support to customers
  • Specification, conduct and reporting of computer validation audits and needs assessments
  • Maintaining an awareness of issues and industry best practice in the field of GLP regulations as they
    affect computer systems
  • Conduct of activities in accordance with the relevant Quality procedures
  • Contribution to Business Process Improvement initiatives

Skills / Experience

  • Experience in working in a Validation/GLP compliant environment.  Exposure to the Pharmaceutical industry is highly desired
  • Familiar with Computer Systems Validation (CSV), writing Validation Plans, Validation  Reports, etc.
  • Experience of writing and executing test scripts that demonstrate/test user requirements
  • Familiar with FDA Validation guidance/expectations, including 21 CFR Part 11
  • Proficiency in MS Office programs (Word and Excel)
  • Knowledge of automated testing – preference will be given to those with practical experience using
    the IBM Rational Robot automated testing tool
  • Provantis LIMS application knowledge
  • Practical experience of Visual Basic / VBA, or similar
