Instem and PAI finalize agreement on the purchase of Provantis Pathology

Charles River Laboratories extends current Licence agreement to include 5 additional sites and 35 Pathology users

Charles River Laboratories (CRL) has extended its partnership with information solutions provider, Instem, with a commitment to roll out Provantis Pathology at all of its PAI locations during 2004.

CRL is a leading provider of critical research tools and integrated support services that enable innovative and efficient drug discovery and development. Following its recent acquisition of Pathology Associates International (PAI), CRL is the largest provider of toxicologic pathology services in the industry.

CRL and Instem reached agreement last year for the purchase of additional Provantis modules for CRL sites at Worcester Massachusetts, Redfield Arkansas and their Sierra Biomedical site in Reno, Nevada.

This latest agreement to add additional Pathology users for PAI extends CRL's Provantis license to well over 300 users.
