Instem Announces Launch Plans for Provantis 7

February 2005

Instem LSS, (Instem), a leading global information solutions provider in the Life Sciences industry, today announced its plans to launch Provantis 7 at this year's Society of Toxicology (SOT) conference in New Orleans.

Instem has established itself in the Toxicology marketplace as the developer of Provantis - the premier software system designed for companies engaged in non-clinical safety evaluation studies. Instem's diverse customer base includes the world's leading pharmaceutical, chemical and contract research organizations, as well as smaller customers across sites worldwide.

Provantis is a fully integrated solution that meets the needs of laboratories from compound receipt through final report production.

Provantis 7 is one of the largest projects in Instem's history, drawing on the wealth of technical skills and knowledge from staff across its sites in Europe and North America. It is a comprehensive release that will be supported by a global awareness program to demonstrate the power of its newly configured modules.

"Equally as important to new cutting-edge functionality and enhancements is that the Provantis 7 project represents a major shift in how we develop and deliver our solutions", commented Phil Reason, Instem's Chief Executive Officer. "We have taken customer involvement to a new level with a proactive program of user group meetings, Webinars, on-site visits and testing workshops. Our customers have been involved with this project every step of the way and they too are standing proud with us as partners."

In addition to its Customer Involvement Program, Instem has extended its solutions to meet the needs of smaller organizations by offering several innovative pricing options and a proven Rapid Deployment Methodology.

"This is a huge win for our community and part of our clear roadmap", stated Mike Harwood, Senior VP of Toxicology and Pathology at Instem. "Our upgrade services have been designed to enable a smooth transition to Provantis 7 by all of our customers, enabling them to take advantage of the best fully-integrated Windows-based solution they can find on the market today. For new customers of varying sizes, being part of the largest and fastest-growing community allows them to access live support and comprehensive professional services while reducing risk and improving efficiencies."

Instem has already begun scheduling pre-launch requests for Provantis 7 implementations and is planning to highlight their first customers at this year's SOT meeting.

Instem's launch will be on March 7, 2005 at booth number 459 at the SOT Annual Meeting in New Orleans. For those who cannot attend, Instem plans to launch virtually over the Web and through on-site visits immediately following the conference.
