Sanofi-aventis to Implement ProvantisT across 7 Sites
World's 3rd largest pharmaceutical organization standardizes on ProvantisT across all R&D sites in Europe and North America
CONSHOHOCKEN, PA - May 3rd 2006 - - Instem, a leading global information solutions provider, announced today that global pharmaceutical company, sanofi-aventis, has signed a multi-million dollar, 500-user license deal to implement Provantis™ throughout Europe and North America.
With this choice, Global Drug Safety Evaluation at sanofi-aventis placed their confidence in Instem's organization, development strategy and ability to support a streamlined, global implementation of Provantis. The readiness of the Provantis 7 solution to fulfill the worldwide operational needs of the laboratories was a key factor in their decision, following evaluation of other alternatives.
Sanofi-aventis is deploying the Provantis™ data collection, management and reporting solution suite across sites in the UK, France, Germany and North America, and will be replacing a number of out-dated legacy systems and in-house developed solutions.
Provantis is a modern, fully integrated Windows-based solution, which enables data to be shared across every discipline of a toxicology laboratory. It addresses all the needs of the toxicology laboratory from compound receipt through to final report production.

Sanofi-aventis has also purchased a comprehensive services package from Instem, which includes Project Management, Installation, Validation, Training and live roll out support. Sanofi-aventis is scheduled to go live with their first sites in Montpellier and Frankfurt early in 2007.
