Technical Overview

Provantis™ modules operate in the Microsoft Windows environment, either as traditional desktop-client programs, server-based applications on site or through our hosted online offering,  allowing customers the ultimate freedom to choose the most appropriate platform for each user.

Data is stored and protected in the market-leading Oracle database from Oracle Corporation on your choice of hardware and operating environment, giving you the flexibility to utilize preferred vendor agreements and maximize existing specialized knowledge and training.

Instem has also integrated SAS from the SAS Institute within the Provantis™ system to take care of table generation and statistical analysis, a proven solution used by pharmaceutical and chemical companies, contract research organizations and also by the industry regulators themselves.

Study protocol and report production is automated and optimized through integration with the familiar and powerful Microsoft Word application, enabling users to produce high quality documents for internal and external use.

Finally, the wealth and diversity of preclinical data can be transformed into information using the popular BusinessObjects toolset giving easy access to data and ensuring better, faster decisions for the organization.

In our online hosted model, where there is no need for on site hardware or software, data is stored at a military grade data center provided by First Consulting Group (FCG)
